Allison Woodruff
An artist by training, Allison Woodruff views hairdressing as a creative outlet and a "bridge between art and commerce." As versatile as she is artistic, her styles range from technically perfect bobs to sexy long layers. She works with each client to customize a look that compliments their face, hair texture and lifestyle.
Allison's professional career began in 2001 when she worked at the famed Oscar Bond Salon. Under the guidance of notable stylists, Oscar Bond and Paula Ivins-Kingston, she honed her technical and artistic abilities. She then moved to the Sally Hershberger Downtown in the Meatpacking District where she perfected her techniques and works with celebrities, artists, musicians, designers and writers.
Allison's celebrity clientele includes Parker Posey, Molly Shannon, Rachel Dratch, Ana Ortiz, Ryan Adams, Tory Burch, Tracy Anderson and Megan Mullaly. She has styled hair for movies such has "Happy Tears" and "Year of The Dog."
