Danielle Pfeifer

New Yorker Danielle Pfeifer took youthful inspiration from a family steeped in creativity – her mother a vintage textiles dealer, her father with Calvin Klein Jeans during its iconic Brooke Shields’ period. Her raw exuberance for hair was purified by the disciplined Vidal Sassoon training she received early on. It was this highly structured understanding of hair that gave her a solid base on which to experiment when she joined John Sahag. Once there, she incorporated the salon’s more free-flowing aesthetic and the Sahag dry, “French style” cutting technique into her own work.

When she moved to John Barrett at Bergdorf Goodman, she devoted herself to “finishing” hair – providing the perfect end, whether it was an immaculate up do or a soft, loose blow out for the evening. Working alongside Sharon Dorram at the new Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger, Danielle brings her complete mastery of all stages of styling – cut to finish.

Danielle knows that every client must deal with “the reality of the cut.” What good is a beautiful cut if it is impossible for the client to manage outside of the salon? By addressing issues of maintenance during the consultation, Danielle will find the perfect, “no stress” style that is not only in harmony with the season and the client’s lifestyle but enables the client to easily and consistently produce fantastic results every day in their own home.

A sitting with Danielle is an uplifting, collaborative event during which she channels her previous experience – work with celebrities, fashion shows, editorial shoots and film – into a highly-focused, satisfying and fun experience for the client.
