Keith Shore’s passion for hair coloring began with his deep-rooted love of painting and fashion. As an Art History major, Keith studied the flawless brushstrokes of artistic masters, much like the strokes in hair coloring. Although Keith began working as a publicist at Donna Karen, he ultimately knew he had a calling to make the world beautiful in some way. After leaving the PR world, Keith went on to attend the Aveda Institute in New York City. After he joined the renowned Orlo Salon, where he assisted famed stylist Orlando Pita. He later worked with celebrated artesian Laurie Foley at L’Atelier de Laurie, where he perfected his coloring technique and discovered his balayage, an artistic highlighting method that allows him to pay homage to his love of painting.
Keith then moved to Sally Hershberger Downtown, where he assisted celebrity colorist Marie Robinson. While working with Marie, he continued to excel in his coloring techniques and went on to be a lead colorist. Keith takes pride in creating natural and alluring tones for each of his clients, and finds inspiration in the vivacious colors of nature. His love of the fashion industry led him to work on several runway shows for Marc Jacobs and Thakoon. He also works with IMG Models on editorial projects as well as fashion shows. His celebrity clients include Meg Ryan, Courtney Love and Annie Leibovitz.
